Hamburgers? Made with Brownies?

When I was in 6th grade, my friend Lucy and I knew we wanted to bake something. We scrolled endlessly on Pinterest trying to find the right dessert and ultimately landed on dessert hamburgers.

This recipe is a fun one to make and is very creative. If you like to use piping bags, then you will love to make these.

The buns are homemade vanilla cupcakes cut in half, the hamburger meat is homemade dark chocolate fudge brownies, and the cheese, tomatoes, and lettuce are all frosting.

In addition to the burgers, you always need fries. So, we cut up some of the extra cupcakes and made some fries on the side.

We had so much fun making these that we decided to make them Sophomore year of high school. For our grade retreat at the beginning of the year each homeroom was supposed to bake something in advance and some of the teachers would judge our creations. Naturally, our homeroom won with these adorable and delicious hamburgers that everyone wanted!
